Hello – I’m Amanda
First, let me tell you a little bit about myself – I’m a child of God, a wife to a wonderful man, and a momma to three beautiful children. At this time, they are aged 6, 5, and 2 years old. They keep me busy!! But in a good way.
I’m a reasonably laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of girl. I love coffee and tea equally – but please make them hot!! None of this iced coffee business for me! I have a crazy sweet tooth which I blame on my 2nd child. I couldn’t stop eating sweets when she was in my belly. I enjoy listening to podcasts and sermons while I edit, so please pass along any suggestions you might have!
Photography has been something I have always loved – something I have always felt natural doing. From the high school/college days of having a little digital camera to the smart phone days. One day I picked up my first “fancy” camera and everything just clicked. I will never forget the feeling I had the first time I picked up that camera. I specialize in many things – bump to baby and kids -- as well as family sessions and seasonal mini sessions.
By far, photographing new, squishy babies is my favorite niche of photography. Simple and sweet setups are my jam! Why do I enjoy photographing newborns so much, you ask? Well – because babies are cute!! Just kidding (sort of). The real reason is that I would like my photography to be a sort of ministry to new moms and dads. When I had each of my children, things became foggy. Those first few days/weeks of my children’s lives are hard for me to remember sometimes. The fog wasn’t only because of the universal lack of sleep that all new parents have to deal with, it was many things. Breastfeeding struggles. Painful recovery after delivery. A new anxiety that would come on so strong that it would take my breath away.  These things caused me to forget some of those precious details – moments I will NEVER get back. My goal as your newborn photographer is to help you to remember. Every detail. That flaky newborn skin. Those chubby toes. That soft, messy newborn hair.  I am also here to be a listening ear, or to lend some advice, if asked. I don’t pretend to know everything, but I will say that my mom-of-babies resume is pretty full.
When photographing families -- tall grass, open fields, and golden sunset light are some of my favorite things. I love to capture “that” moment that you just know will be printed BIG and framed in your home for many, many years. I will laugh (a lot), making silly faces and funny noises to get your littles to open up and laugh and play. My goal as a photographer is to capture families as you are. Capturing the moment. All moments. The quiet ones, the silly ones, the happy ones and the sweet ones. Every single thing that makes you as a family, that’s what I want to capture. I love my own family so very much – they are my motivation in what helps me capture those little moments you may not realize you need to freeze in time until you’re scrolling through your gallery.  Go ahead and schedule with me, you’ll see what I’m talking about; I can assure you -- you won’t be disappointed!
